And now our watch begins: HBO has finally releasedthe run times and air dates for the final six “Game of Thrones” episodes.
As we reported earlier, rumors that the entire eighth and final season will be comprised of movie-length episodes aren’t true. The first and second episodes of Season 8 clock in at 54 minutes and 58 minutes, respectively, which is pretty standard.
The final four episodes, however, will be feature-length.Episode 3 on April 28 will be the longest of the series, at 1 hour and 22 minutes. Since the only information the network has released about this season is that there will be a giant battle at Winterfell, between the living and the dead, it’s a safe bet this is the episode.
Episode 4 on May 5 will be 1 hour and 18 minutes, and the final two episodes of the entire series will each be 1 hour and 20 minutes.
