The smile is unmistakable.

A short video clip of NYPD Officer Jason Rivera started making the rounds of social media late Saturday, showing the slain rookie wearing his signature grin along with his uniform.

“This is our hero. Look at this smile. Look at his baby face. This isn’t fair. He didn’t deserve this,” Angel Maysonet, who describes himself as a retired NYPD detective, posted on Twitter with the 9-second clip, which shows Rivera leaning on scaffolding and laughing.

An unidentified speaker can be heard remarking that “Buzzin” was on the scene. “Look good in a uniform, too!” the speaker says, as Rivera chuckles.

It’s not clear from the short scene where Rivera was or when it was filmed, though he is wearing only a short-sleeved uniform.

The video is captioned, “Rest up buzzin. Always smiling. gonna be missed brotha.”

Rivera was killed Friday when he was ambushed while responding to a domestic incident in Harlem. The convicted felon accused of opening fire on Rivera and his partner, Wilbert Mora, was shot by a third officer at the scene. Mora remains in critical condition with a bullet lodged in his head, sources said.

The accused gunman, Lashawn McNeil, is also in critical condition. Both are being treated at Harlem Hospital.
