Prince Harry got back to business Wednesday — with no mention of the scandal over Megxit.
The Duke of Sussex took to the official Instagram page he shares with wife Meghan Markle to give an update on the sixth Invictus Games, the sporting event he started for wounded veterans.
“The story continues,” he said with a smile in a short video — referring to the games rather than the ongoing saga over his future in the royal family.
Harry, 35, had kept a low profile since his shocking announcement exactly a week ago that he was quitting the royal family, sneaking into Monday’s historic summit with his family at the Queen’s country retreat, Sandringham.
Wife Meghan, however, was seen Tuesday as she made a surprise visit for tea at a women’s center close to where she is staying with baby Archie in Canada.
While it was not clear when his Instagram video was recorded, it was the first time he has made any public appearance, even if only online.
Harry, in a suit and open-necked white shirt, revealed that the games would be held in Düsseldorf in 2022, calling it a “new home for respect for our armed forces.”
He is expected to make his first public engagement since Megxit on Thursday, conducting the draw for the 2021 Rugby League World Cup, The Sun says. He is understood to have a number of meetings in the UK next week before he is expected to join his wife and child in Canada.
