Heavy metal rocker Rob Halford says he was just looking for a few good men.

The Judas Priest lead singer recalled in his upcoming memoir how he hooked up with some Marines at Camp Pendleton in the 1990s — including a married serviceman who invited Halford to join in a threesome with his wife.

“For a gay guy, Pendleton was an Aladdin’s Cave,” Halford wrote in his tell-all “Confess.” “There were just so many amazing male specimens there: young, buff guys at the the height of their physical powers! With my thing for men in uniform, my eyes were on stalks.”

The 69-year-old, who came out in an MTV interview in 1998, said that he was first invited to visit the California Marine base in 1991 by a Leatherneck named Hank, who he met at a bar in Marina del Rey, Calif.

The “You’ve Got Another Thing Coming” singer writes that he had an affair with Hank, who then introduced him to another married Marine at Pendleton named Steve.

“He was just as ultra-masculine as Hank, but his big thing was threesomes- with his wife, Dawn.” Halford remembers. “Marines were allowed family visits, so I would go along at the same time as she was there.

“Once the door was shut, we would go at it for hours. I’d leave there more exhausted than if I’d been for a gym workout.”

Not surprisingly, Halford ended up with an ex-Marine named Thomas Pence who he met when he answered Pence’s ad looking for companionship. The couple have been together for 25 years.

“Confess” hits bookstores on Tuesday.
